i beg to differ Ms hazel, but i am of the strong opinion that this blog is primarily a beautiful and sensitive platform for expression and interaction of human thoughts and emotions.its not a grammar correction place, but even if u want to look at it grammatically, then keeping the thought and grammar-both in mind, i strongly believe that ‘SAY’ is the right word.’SPEAK’ is just grammatically right, not emotive.the texture of the word’SPEAK’ is very dry and disciplined.the word ‘SAY’ has a flow about it,its alive, its human. n if u want to just talk abt grammar, then too SAY is correct.u cant tag it as wrong.
that’s a fact.n that’s b’coz society is itself living in a facade, in its hypocrisy n can’t handle the truth.n ur truth may be the truth of many, n no one wants to face their real true selves n your saying the truth will be like showing them the mirror…….in a few words uve have actually SAID THE TRUTH!
im with Ms Shelly abt her opinion regarding the word ‘SAY’.very well said mam. n Irshad ji, society yahi chahti hai ki ek bhed-chaal rahe usmein, koi uske banaye niyamo se bhatke nahi,,,,,par kya karein, hum mein se kuch bhed nahi bann paate, ya shayad yeh kehna chahiye,ki hum apne bhitar ko maar nahi paate, aur hamare bhitar pal rahi zindagi bahar aane ko aatur rehti hai……………aur iss zindagi ka zinda rehna iss samaaj ke liye khatra hai…….bahut INSECURE maansikta ki bheed se bana hai yeh samaaj
ya dil ki suno duniyawalon, ya mujh ko abhi chup rehne do, main ghum ko khushi kaise kehdun….jo kehte hain unko kehne do………………..Irshad aapka seedha sa likha vaakya bhi, gehri soch utpann karne ki kshamta rakhta hai………shayad yahi imaandar lekhan ki khoobi hai…………n 1 thing more……..ur blog has given birth to a new debate, that’s very relevant in today’s time….i.e.-strict grammar discipline in language Vs the fluid,humane,all-encompassing expression of language…. that’s great. well my vote goes to the fluidity n humane quality of expression.Irshad, can i ask u smthg….does language change or transform with time?
Isha har bhasha samay ke saath badalti hai…kyonki bhasha samaaj ke liye hai…samaaj bhasha ke liye nahin hai…samaaj badalta hai, soch badalti hai to bhasha bhi badal jaati hai.
SOCIETY compels us to LIE, even when we want to speak the TRUTH
this is just a correction of course its not to be printed …
Hazel “say” is also correct.

true.. b’coz sometimes a lie can comfort whereas truth hurts

Rajni aapne sahi kaha…samaaj apne “comfort zone” se bahar nahin nikal paata.
Hello Irshad,

The Society, which is full of lies, pretends to be truthful……
